Our "chapbooks" are mini books GreenTower Press publishes in the fall semesters. They are small collections of poetry writers can submit to our contest. We pick one manuscript to win the contest, and we publish their work. This is one such chapbook cover I have designed. The inspiration for this piece came from the haunting nature of the poetry itself. Bret Shepard crafts a melodic and eerie set of poems that I tried my best to emulate through his cover. The pseudo-window-panes with the nearly ghostly shape cast in a calm yellow color stood out most to me, and he loved it as well.
